5 July 2011. Took Ms. Charlotte to the vet, she has a heart 3 times larger than it is supposed to be. It is causing fluid buildup, and causing air flow problems. The vet said she doesn't know how long Ms. Charlotte will be with us. Ms Charlotte passed away in Aug 2011 and I still miss her. Ms. Charlotte came to us as a Rescue Pup from Bowling Green Kentucky on 21 December 2008. She was abandoned at A Collie Rescue Shelter there in Bowling Green. (Told she is a Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen {PBGV}- or a possible mix of, vet said there is no way to be sure without a DNA test and that is way too expensive and who cares anyway) While I was purusing PetFinder.com (I had been looking for a pet companion for about 2 months, looking for just the right one..), I came across Ms. Charlotte's picture. Her foster family had named her Missy, for no-one really knew anything about her. When I emailed and asked if Missy (then known) had been adapted yet, she told me she was ready to go to her forever home. I could not have been more thrilled, just look at her !!! She is the sweetest pup (vet says around 4-6 years old) anyone could EVER ask for. Loving, sweet, kind, perfectly behaved, no-one - just no-one could ask for a better girl. Yet, the vet said she had seen hard times, her front teeth have been broken along with several ribs and her jaw looks like it had been kicked. But, now she is here in her forever home! And my husband and I are very glad to have her ! Favorite Food: Duck Jerky and anything Tory has (her fur buddy) Favorite activity: Running in the Snow and playing with Tory! She LOVES her doggie door (she has been seen just walking in and out (over and over again) though that doggie door!
