Nika is actually a border collie/lab mix with some aussie in there as well. She was born when a man's dog got into his neighbor's yard, and given up to the Love of Animals rescue in central California. I drove four hours out there with the intent of adopting a male puppy - incidentally, I came home with a little girl.

Baby Nika is gorgeous. My family also set out one day determined to get a little boy puppy, and came home with a little girl instead. I hope you and Nika have many happy and healthy years together. Give her a hug for me.
