After our 13 year-old Lab Shepherd mix died, we wanted to get another dog to keep our younger dog company. We searched on PetFinder for just the right dog. Opal was not quite seven months old when we adopted her. We were actually Opal's second home. She had been adopted at four months and then returned to the shelter. She was so lovable, we knew she was ours as soon as we saw her. She is a bundle of energy, but is very smart. She is easy to train and we plan to start her on obedience training and then agility training.
