Penny was adopted from the North Shore Animal League America shelter in Port Washington, NY. She is an energetic bundle of love who brings a smile to the faces of everyone she meets. Penny was brought to Long Island from Mississippi with her sister, where the pair were living in a kill shelter. According to the folks at North Shore, the Mississippi shelter sent them up north because they felt that it would be easier to adopt out small dogs in northern states. She was a rare find for a North Shore shelter dog and I'm so happy to have her =)
