I would tell your partner that yes the wolf dogs are beautiful but not for the inexperienced person. I have been raising them most of my life and they still presents quite a few challenges. IF your partner really wants one and can invest a lot of time then start oout with a very low content Malamute or Husky and only get from someone that knows what they are doing. Do not ge a high content wolfdog or you will regret it.

Congrats on getting daily puppy. Phoenix is beautiful and I love the name. Glad to see you're not giving much effort to all the soapbox comments but I'm guessing you may be used to it by now. I don't see anything wrong with welcoming these strong breeds into your family if you have the knowledge, abilities and resources to do so.
