Poppy came to me on a lovely summer day. She had spent her first few months in another, not-so-perfect home before this sweet shelter puppy came into my life. Poppy is a "larger than life" kind of dog, and believes herself to be much bigger than the 5 pounds she was when she first arrived (she's almost 10 pounds now!). She spends most of her days playing with her cousin Violet (a former daily puppy alumnus) and digging holes to China. (I hate to tell her that the Olympics are over and she won't make it in time!). Her favorite things include using her pounce moves on Violet and her sister Alle (another beautiful shelter puppy) and chewing paper products. Her dislikes are walking by large trashcans and being left alone. Poppy is my first puppy and will always be first in my heart!
