All in the Family

Biography: Red was born in South Carolina on November 22nd 2002. She is a red dachsund but the color on her papers say "wild boar" that describes her to a t..lol Red was the second addition to our family while living in Fayetteville, NC. She is a sister to Meaty, and Rufus. We adopted her while I was working as a vet tech at an animal hospital. She came to live with us when she was six months old, her prior owners found out quickly they were not dog people, they mostly had cats. So we gladly took her. Red is a little rougher than Rufus not so prissy. Red loves to eat!! She is a larger dachsund she weighs probably 15 possibly 20lbs now from stealing all of Meatys puppy food..lol She loves to play with the other dogs, and the kids. She like Rufus knows no size when it comes to other larger dogs. She doesn't scare easily. Last summer she got took on a stray pitbull trying to protect her sister, and came out on top. Even though she has bad hips as well as a bad back she never lets that stop her from a good old fashioned game of chase with her two sisters. No other dog could replace her that is for sure =)
