All in the Family

Biography: Risa von Riesling is a beautiful 3 ½ month old German Shepherd. She is called a 'blue' her coloring has a blue cast to it and her eyes are green. She is everything a German Shepherd puppy should be, she is active at times, but then loves a nice nap and she is extremely smart. She loves to play with her big canine foster brothers. She knows exactly how to win the heart of the large alpha who she admires so much. He shows his teeth to her and she just keeps kissing him, even the grumpy old man is charmed. Risa is good with the neighborhood children who like to come visit her. She is very alert and already listens to sounds she doesn’t like and is the first one at the gate to check on things. She has her favorite monkey toy, she pulled out all the stuffing, but it is her treasure. She loves to eat and play and do everything any puppy loves to do. The only difference is she has a heart condition; there is no surgery to correct it. It is called subaortic stenosis. She may live for years or maybe a shorter time. She can’t go on an airplane; she can play as much as she feels like playing but no big hikes. They call it self regulated play, which means whatever she feels like doing. Risa would be best in a home with male dogs and no cats. Risa is such a lovely girl inside and out. We are hoping to find an equally lovely family who will love her for whatever time she is meant to have.
