Rocky is just the happiest dog alive. We rescued him from the pound. You see he was almost starved to death about 3-4 yrs ago and he was taken from the people he lived with. At the time my husband had to do some training for his job and that included going and spending a day at the pound...that is when he saw him. He came home and told me about him and what he had went through. I wanted him but I wasn't sure we could handle 3 dogs. So I let it go for a while because he was still "in jail" until his trial date (when I say his trail date I mean his previous owners). Well he went to court and they took all rights of owning any kind of animal from them. That is when I got the call from my husband that I could go and get him if I wanted him. I was like I will go and look at him and see if I think I want him or not. Well on my way up there I started thinking of names for him in case he didn't have a name. I came up with Rocky. Well when I got to the pound I went in to see him and you guys as soon as I looked up and seen that his name was already Rocky I knew that God was telling me this is my dog. Well I went to put him in my car and he wouldn't sit in the back like I wanted him to. He rode home sitting between my back and the seat. He was in love and so was I. When I brought him home he weighed about 50-55lbs (when he was rescued he weighed about 20-25lbs.) now he is about 75-80lbs. I didn't know what Konan and Princess would think of him so we put him in a kennel in our back yard (our back yard is fenced in and the other 2 were not in there with him) for a couple of days and let them get use to him being there. You know of course he and Konan were going to fight they were both males but that was 1/2 true. Princess fought with him more then Konan did. But once they all got use to each other they became fast friends. I tried telling my husband what the pics of Rocky looked like when they found him but he didn't believe me. So it just so happens that the officer that rescued him became a road deputy and my husband got to train him one night and he kept the pics of Rocky in his private car and brought them and gave them to my husband. When he came home crying and told me he had the pics I knew we had made the right choose to keep him with us. We became his permanent foster parents. Now he is just so happy all the time. He runs and plays, but Princess keeps him in line.
