Sacha was adopted from her hometown of Misahualli, in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where she and her six brothers and sisters were born. At a mere 5 weeks of age, she was lovingly held on a 4 hour bus ride through the Andes to her new home: Quito, Ecuador. As her mother is part Leonberger, Quito is suiting her and her thick fur coat much better than the jungle. She likes to spend her time trying to catch butterflies and birds (she wishes she could fly) on her daily walks.
