In 2009, Harley, our wonderful Akita-Border Collie companion, passed away suddenly due to canine lymphoma. That same day, my wife and I traveled to the SPCA to make a donation on Harley's behalf. Little did we know that the SPCA had a litter of puppies looking for homes. We instantly fell in love with Sonny. When the SPCA in San Francisco receives a litter of puppies, they come up with a theme for naming the puppies. Sonny comes from The Godfather litter, and thus is named after Sonny Corleone. Sonny is still a puppy but a bit older than the pics. He uses his eyes to get his way, and is a bit of a troublemaker, but we couldn't be happier that we have him in our lives.
