Petey was rescued in December 2012. Someone had put him in a box and left him on the side of the road. The vet estimated he was 6 weeks old. Petey weighed 2 pounds and needed emergency surgery. He recovered nicely with the care of 3 foster moms. He now has a forever home. It has been a complete joy to watch him grow. He's up to 5 pounds now, but thinks he's one of the big dogs. He never tires of playing with his dachshund friends.
