Born in Kenai to a purebred bloodhound mother and lab/husky father. Her father left them as young puppies so they were raised by their mother and the wonderful people at the Kenai Animal Shelter. Sydney was rescued on Friday, January 31st at 8 weeks old. We drove down and back from Kenai amidst an Alaskan blizzard. We had to pull over for a short period of time to let the weather pass which of course was well worth it. With her sweet nature and long ears it was love at first sight. When returning home she got extremely sick and we found out she had Parvo. I was devastated. She was put in quarantine for 3 days and we almost lost her. Fortunately she was strong and knew she had a long full life ahead of her and she pulled through. Now she is my loyal, loving, adventure companion and of course big sister to her Pug sister, Olive.
