All in the Family

We rescued Tia in Oct'06. Her previous owners had paid for 6 months in kennels in North London and then vanished. After a further 6 months whilst the kennels tried to establish contact the owners then denied ever having a dog. We think she was a failed show-dog, abandoned because of an expensive injury to her left stifle. It took about 8 months to correctly diagnose her knee & only when the pain left did she really settle in, but Tia is now a very happy girl who loves all people & almost all dogs. Tia doesn't really play fetch, after a couple of throws the look on her face says "i'm not bringing it back, you'll only throw it away again". She does like to play tugs & she loves to play hide&seek in woodlands or long grasses on the local common. The grass is nearly 5ft high this year! Tia has adored Zathras right from the day he arrived in Feb'08. She plays with him lots - so much she nearly hurt her leg again! He has taught her much more about playing and she has mellowed & is very mothering.
