Tiki was given to me by a breeder / doctor. She has been such a good little girl, totally devoted to the family. Always there when I was down.. happy pup. She is now 13 yrs old.. and her health is failing. We cherish every day we have with her.. and all those before this one. She took to being a watch dog.. when our grandson was born.. staying by his side .. if he moved she got us and let us know. When he was old enough to know.. she would play with him bringing him toys to throw or pull and tug w/ her. She was always careful not to bite his fingers while playing. Never has she nipped any one .. She is full of moochies, and loves to play.. still, even though a few minutes of play is all she has in her now. she is a beautiful dog.. with so much personality and love. Tiki is a Long Haired Chihuahua.. a whole dif temperment and personality than a smooth short haired Chi. My Biggest regret.. is I had her spayed when I got her.. I wish now I'd let her have a litter or two.. Her babies would be tremendously fantastic! Tiki is getting older like many of us, and her health is failing badly. Many days we feel it could be her last.. she has heart problems and trech collapse. As of Feb 21 it is day to day, she is not in dicomfort.. she eats and in general wag's that fluffy tail when called. The vet wanted me to put her down, 3 wks ago.. I said no..its not time. They were surprised to find she is ok and comfortable. Until that changes, I won't think of putting her down. Say a prayer for Tiki.. and her family. I am not sure the date the above was written, but Tiki did pass away March 21 2010. She went peacefully.. even though she tried so hard to stay with us. I miss her so much.. Like everyone already knows, there will never be "another" like her. So much personality. Shortly after Tiki passed my dear friend of 27 yrs, passed away.. she was close to Tiki so I know they are together.. and waiting.. and enjoying their time together.
