All in the Family

Tippy was taken from her home through an open window in October of 2010. We have not given up trying to find her ... I keep posting photos in hope that someone, somewhere will have knowledge of her whereabouts. She was about 3-years old when taken, a very loving dog who would be shy on initial contact. I would appreciate ANY help from any source in locating her. Truly, our hearts are broken and there is a void that cannot be filled until we know what became of her. She will NEVER be forgotten.

Oh poor Tippy. I pray you are safe and will be returned to you home now. How could anyone have done such a terrible thing to you. You look like such a sweet girl. You will always be in my prayers.

@drakes'granny ... thank you so much for your kind words. It helps to know that people see this and are saying prayers for this gentle girl. Many, many, thanks.

you can't leave your dogs out of your site nowadays. there's coyotes and then there's medical labs in ohio and probably all over that will buy dogs for 50.00 a piece. a scumbag was caught a few yrs ago. with a truck full of stolen dogs, on his way to sell them to these horrible places. it may be university labs, i really don't know. it was in ohio.

We live in Southern Illinois (almost to Kentucky). We believe we know who took her and have felt that she may have been taken to northern Illinois as this person has "roots" in that area. Of course, this is only a theory and Tippy could be anywhere. I just can't stop trying to find her. Everyday I hear of an animal that was reunited with an owner after years missing. Just knowing she was with a loving family would ease the pain. She is terrified of fireworks and ran off one 4th of July when the neighbors started their celebration before we could get her in the house. She was gone for a week but found her way back and literally cried real tears of joy when she saw her daddy. She was "his girl". They went everywhere together. I sent notices to animal shelters and veterinary offices in the Chicago area hoping someone would recognize her. We should have had her microchipped ... Hindsight is 20/20 ... All pet owners should do that. It is inexpensive and has proven to bring many a missing dog or cat back to its owner. Thanks again for the interest, comments and prayers.

I am so sorry, and I will pray for Tippy to be returned to you. My Bailey died in August 2011, and I know what it feels like to have the pain in your heart. I feel it every day. Tippy will always be with you because she is in your heart.
