Toby was rescued by the Adirondack Save-A-Stray from Puerto Rico, where the population of stray dogs has become a serious problem. From there, he was adopted by a woman who named him "Nero." Unfortunately, the woman's husband was abusive of Toby and the woman brought him back to the Save-A-Stray where I got him as a birthday present. He always had his little hang-ups -- a fear of men, storms, and, oddly enough, his water dish -- but he was devoutly loyal to me and I miss him immensely. No one could ever replace my Toby. I hope he knows how much I love and miss him every single day. Toby will always be my best friend.
