On November 3rd I have lost my mind (once again!) and added one more dog to my happy family of two. She was about 10 weeks old, with full mouth of puppy teeth, no manners, no shots, and no training. It took my two dogs ( Lucy almost 10 and Phoenix 6) about 2 weeks to stop grawling at the newcomer, but they are a happy pack of three now. I am, as one can imagine, a one busy "mama", but I really love them all! Zoe is a Labrador/Golden Retriver mix, and she is smart and goofy in one. She had mastered "sit" in two hours, and was able to play off-leash on the fourth morning in our local dog park. Every time I call her, she happily rans to me. She fearlessly plays with any dogs (big and small) as long as they don't mind her trying to chop their heads off!. Today she is about 4 months old, she snores like a man, has one puppy tooth left, and plans on staying a lap dog forever! P.S. Correction: Zoe lost her last puppy tooth this morning playing in her first ever snow with her friends and family. *** Today is August 22, 2010 and it is Zoe's estimated 1st Birthday. Unfortunately, we had to give Zoe for adoption back in February. My two older dogs Lucy and Phoenix never got over her puppyhoodiness and playfullness, for they are very mellow at this point of their lives. When Zoe started growing larger, about 5 months of age, she playfully torn Phoenix's ear to blood, and my "fearless man of the house" was terrified and very unhappy. We found Zoe a good home. She resided a few blocks away from us with a new mama, grandmama, a 14 years old boy she sleeps with, and a 2 years old cocker spaniel Charlie - a partner in crimes. Last I heard, everyone was happy, including my dogs!
