Hi, my name is Kali. I'm a Catahoula Leopard Dog. Strange name I know, since I look nothing like a leopard. Dad says I'm the only original dog breed from North America. Boy, I sure don't feel that old. My pastimes include herding squirrels, licking myself, sleeping, and eating. Dad drove out to some cow farms the other day. Man-o-man did those things smell good! Dad stopped the car and let me out. WoW! I was free. Over the fence I went, right into the pasture. I had all 4 cows herded in no time! Dad says it was too easy for me since the cows were old. Bully I say! They gave me a run for my money! Did I mention that I work for BBQ'd Squirrel?

Ah, the spring air. I think my dog may be a Catahoula, too. He is a rescue and we thought he was Aussie/Lab, but now I think maybe he is just an undercover Catahoula. He loves to herd the horses and cows and roll in those mushy cow-pies out at the barn. Kali, I think you and Mo would be a formidable cow-herding duo!
