Max is a sweet, playful dog who constantly demonstrates affection for his people. In addition to his craving for human attention, his trademark features include big floppy ears, super-soft fur, and a delightful star quality. For years, he loved to play fetch and catch balls in the air (stubbornly refusing to stop playing), found a way to grab whatever tissue or napkin was lying around, and insisted on being the center of all social activity in his house. Now thirteen, Max has calmed down a great deal, but you can still catch him sleeping upside-down with his legs splayed out or running nose-first into a carpet and then rolling around snorting in order to say hello to a room. Our older Labrador, Huntley, passed away very recently, and we miss seeing Max licking her ears and finishing her water. Although he sleeps more nowadays and we avoid encouraging physical activity since he tends to get huffy and out of breath, our boy Max is still a thrill, with his genuine adoration for family members and comfy beds. It's impossible to leave a room without Max following you; it's almost equally impossible to type on a laptop without finding a soft, wrinkly head squeezing its way underneath your wrist.
Your dog is beautiful, this site seems to focus on puppies but we have to remember that older dogs were puppies! MAX IS A CUTIE!
Max is a beautiful Dog.......My Labbie Rosie) has fallen in love with him. She'll be 11 On Christmas Eve. She says She'll meet him in the Kitchen anytime.
Hi Max, you can tell Tibor how much fun the water can be, right? All Labs love water but you must be careful in some lakes and small bodies of water, even the ocean has preditors. You look like you are enjoying life. Live long and enjoy many biscuits!
I will never tire either of being disturbed from my computer chores by my beauty: Becky the black lab, what a joy labs are. Max is adorable, lots of hugs and belly rubs to him.

What a grand old man.He looks like so much like my late Lab Lady,whose birthday would have been tomorrow.Old Labs do keep some puppy ways forever.I know this guy is a delight in your life!
I absolutely love the first picture of you, but since I can't pick it I opted for this one. Every one shows what a love bug you really are Max, and while you shower all your love on your family, it is evident it is returned. Hugs, kisses and a box of biscuits from Kansas for this sweetheart.

And I completely agree, puppies are great, but a senior grows a bond that is forever cherished. I am sorry about your recent loss, Max is magnificent! I picked this photo, because he is looking so longingly at the water, remembering his days as a pup swimming in the cool water. Much love to you Max.

Labrador Retrievers are the best, most loving and helpful. They give their all for their people families. Sounds like the people family gave a lot back. Love stories like that...!
We are very sad to report that Max died on Thursday, August 21st. He was a wonderful dog, a lifelong puppy, an adorable boy, and a great companion. We'll miss his sincere eyes, floppy ears, soft fur, hearty bark, and sweet personality. He was one of a kind -- and we know he loved being a star on DailyPuppy! Woof , Max's family.
