I am so sorry for your loss. Pete was an adorable boy, that's for sure.

How lucky Pete was to have had such wonderful people take him in and love him the way you did. His markings are so beautiful and the photos of him in the snow show this even more. Pete surely made his mark in this world, the same as you have by caring for him. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss of Pete. He was a beautiful dog who I'm sure was a best friend to you and your family. :(

We miss you Pete :( We will never forget the times you made the kids giggle soooo hard!

If all the things I've read and watched about dogs are true, dogs don't fear illness or its consquences like their human counterparts, so it's likely Pete was happy and content til the very end. I am glad you had each other and I'm sure he was a secure and confident boy while he was with you.

RIP, Pete.

St, Francis is looking after you right now and I can tell your family really loved you.

With those amazing unique markings Pete was certainly a handsome dog. I know you miss him but just remind yourself what a lucky day it was for everyone when your sister brought him home.

I'm so sorry for you loss of this beautiful fellow. I love the pic of him walking in from of the cattle with sort of a laugh on his face. The 1st pic is just grand and the pics of him in the snow are beautiful. The last pic is just precious-- I know he will be greatly miss- but it was nice that you had some wonderful years together.

Pete, I know you are having fun over the Rainbow Bridge. You are no longer in pain, and although it is sad for your mom and dad to have lost you, I'm sure they have prescious memories of you.

Jun 3, 2007 lonjac

What an interesting breed! Its so so sad that you had to go. :(

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I also had a Dalmation,Opie, and i too lost him right after Christmas of 2005. And eventhough it has been a year and a half I still feel the pain of losing him- although I did have 11 1/2 wonderful years with him. One thing to remember is that you loved him as much as you possibly could and that he had a good life. He was a very handsome boy!! :)

Thank you for rescuing this sweet guy and giving him a wonderful life. I am so sad it was cut short, but I am sure he enjoyed every moment on this earth with his loving family. What a lucky dog to have found you!

Thank you for giving Pete a good life. He was a beautiful boy. My heart aches for your loss.

I also lost my beautiful boy to intestinal cancer on Dec 6th 2005. It is still hard to believe he won't be there waiting for me when I get home. But I do believe he is watching from the "Rainbow Bridge" and I believe that Pete is watching out for you as well.

Pete was a beautiful dog...I am very sorry he is gone.

I adopted a Labrador/Dalmatian Mix yesterday. She looks a lot like Pete but with black ears.

Do you have any advice for me? :)

My condolences on your beautiful Pete's passing. He was such a beautiful boy, and I know he brought you joy and smiles.

We have a dalmatian border collie mix who looks like he could be Pete's brother. We refer to Domino Joe.dog as a bike short dalmatian since he looks like he's wearing lycra bike shorts. Pete has them as well so now I've seen 2 Bike Short Dalmatians.Domino Joe also has markings shaped like a heart,a clover and a diamond. I can tell that Pete was much loved and a character (it is a trait of the Bike Short Dalmatian to be adorable and full of mischief and charm).
