What a cutey! My dog growing up was a dachshund. He was so smart and wonderful. He liked to play tag with us! He also kept all the little gophers and rodents out of our yard. Just beware, as they will dig under the fence and go to the outside world if they feel it is necessary!

BayBay is adorable. I love the blue and brown eye. My Siberian Husky (Jake) is bi-eyed. I grew up having a long-haired dachshund named Slinky. They are such loveable dogs. It sounds like BayBay has a very loving home :)

that last picture just slaughtered me! how cute is that. i was just thinking about how regal and how dignified baybay looked when i scrolled down to the last pic where it looks like she is coming off a drunk. thank you, i neeeeded that laugh! that pic is now my background. your dogs are so pretty.

that cute "two toned" coat color is called Merle, specifically a Sable Merle because of its redish color. It is also the gene that caused the blue eye, it is a gene that affects color distribution. This gen is also the very, and only gene responsible for the 3 deaths of your other puppies.

when two Merle genes combine it is deadly, which causes the puppys to die in the womb or if they are unfortunately born they will not survive for more than a few days or hours. They are usually white, blind, deaf along with other physical and internal porblems.

this is basic genetics any breeder would (or should) know, maybe you should leave to breeding to the breeders. or perhaps inform yourself on the basics of genetics or the merle gene. to avoid the unessicary births of defective puppies. if you do decided to continue breeding, to be safe, you should only breed solid color dachshunds with merles (BayBay), you still get a 2/4 chance of getting merles and 2/ chance of getting solid colors. (if you breed 2 merles together you get a 1/4 chance of the defective puppies 2/4 chance of merles and 1/4 chance of solid colors, same chance of getting merle color minus the casualties) and perhaps google the term Merle and inform yourself. instead of gambeling with lifes.

there is no denying how cute she is tho, but you could have had the same clor without the unfortuante deaths of her siblings. if you only had the basic knowledge.
