Bombay's mom says: We were very lucky to get Bombay as our family dog. She is a very special dog to me. Originally, she was part of a program called, "Guide Dogs for the Blind". A nice family from Utah trained Bombay for the first 10 months of her life. Then it was discovered that Bombay had a small, non-threatening health issue that would prevent her from being a guide dog. Bombay became what they call a "career change" dog. We had wanted to help this program in any way and felt so fortunate when Bombay came into our lives. She has now been a part of our family for four years. Some special things about her are that she never barks, she loves to swim, and she loves my family.
This is the very essence of the Lab. What a special girl Bombay is! Service training seems to enhance the best qualities of these very special furkids. How special you are, too, to have adopted this precious, beautiful girl. I hope that her health issue - whatever it is - has not caused her any problems. She certainly looks healthy, mellow and loving. Please give her hugs and kisses from me.
