Cooper, you are one handsome boy!
We had a Westie when I was growing up. He was a rescued former show dog. His "parents" (who don't deserve the title) kept him tied to a bed post 24/7, beat him and only untied him when they wanted to show him. Then they would clean him up, plump him with some decent few a few days/weeks before a scheduled show so he would arrive all pretty to win them ribbons and praise. Grrrr... Fortunately, we had a family friend at that time who "thought" she was also a close friend of theirs. After she gained their trust, she snuck in one day when they weren't home and took him. Of course she lost their friendship, but then they never really had it to begin with! Anyway, she brought him to my parents and we adopted him. Yes, it was illegal so please no bashing about this post...it was before there was any real kind of animal protection services/enforcement around.
It took some time to get Leo to trust us, but he came around nicely and lived out a long, happy life with my family. We spoiled him rotten of course, but that's why you get a dog or a cat isn't it?!! :)
What a handsome young chap! With his windswept hair he would be a perfect model for Ralph Lauren. Just imagine him in a little blue button down Polo shirt ready to go sailing...
OMG! SO cute! Cooper is like the cutest dog ever! We have a dog that lives up the street, Chloe and she looks exactly like him! You are SO lucky to have such a sweet looking dog!
Cooper looks as though he's ready to do anything that you do. Isn't that what having a dog is all about? May you have many happy years to love each other!
I just love Cooper. Some day I want a Westie. He just looks like a very devoted family dog. I live in Minnesota, haven't found a breeder yet, but I will.
May you be blessed with many years with Cooper as you've been blessed to have him.
Cooper - so cute. I have friend in Texas who rescued a Westie,Suzie, from a puppy miller and she is absolutely smitten with her. She keeps commenting what a good little girl she is. Hugs, kisses and a box of biscuits for Cooper from Kansas.
Oh, your Cooper is very handsome. My westie boy Stewart loves his nappies too and this photo could be him on the back patio. He loves his nappies so much Henry, his pug/min-pin cousin had better not disturb him during a nap!
Westies are the best, but I am prejudice. My westie, Tucker, barks at the camera, so I can't take a good picture of him. He also won't get near the water. He is seven years old and forever a puppy at heart.
Clearly,Cooper lives a life full of stress and tough times...It's hard work but someone has to do it,right,Cooper? I hope the rest of your seasons are just as happy!!
I have a westie too called Poppy, check out her album! Love you Cooper, have many happy, long and fulfilled summers (and winters) with your lovely owners. From muddy_paw_prints in England.
Westies are the ultimate friend, companion and dog, at least for me. My Daisy is so smart and full of emotion and heart when it comes to me, she knows how I'm feeling especially when sad and is by my side in the blink of an eye. Westies rule, at least for me.
