Donut is lovely with beautiful shiny fur to boot. Thank God you found each other. I think the ones you have to work hardest on, are morth worth it in the end.

I have three beagles, so I know what you mean about the cute face. The first six months of their lives, we went around muttering "God made them cute for a reason!" Donut is definitely a sweetie, and I'm so glad you can take her to work with you. That is awesome! Live long and Happy Donut!

She's beautiful. I like the theory behind her name and thankfully you didn't give up on her.

With that face, Donut will be able to continued getting away with pretty much anything she attempts, I suspect!! Bazillions of biscuits for her (and some "people biscuits" for you, her foster mom, and her trainer for your faith in her)!

Look at those eyes. How could you refuse this little darling anything?

'What Did I Do Wrong Ma?'

She's gorgeous and is so lucky to have found her new 'parents'.

haha, my dog has gotten the nickname "Fang"... she doesn't just randomly bite people, but she's afraid of strangers and will if she feels threatened, or if she has some food in her mouth and you try to take it away from her. My dad almost lost a thumb on that one, when she was found with something mysterious in her mouth and we were worried that it was something she shouldn't have. Turned out to be a dog treat that she found laying in the house.

Couldn't think of a better name for a beagle. And those eyes will grab you every time. Big hugs!

Thank you for saving Donut!!!! She must have had a terrible four weeks for a beagle to turn like that!! I am so glad she found you. She is very lovely -- but her story is beautiful. Snuggles to your cute little breakfast treat.

Well done for saving Donut. She' a beauty! Having last year taken on a troubled 5yr old Cocker Spaniel I can appreciate the hard work and patience required to undo bad beginnings but it's worth it! Many happy years with Donut and Very Best wishes from Spain.

I love Donut's story behind her name.
She's beautiful.

Thank you for saving Donut! I also rescued a young beagle (now he's 1.5), and he too had BIG problems with biting whenever he felt threatened, and also when he didn't feel threatened. I bet Donut and Darwin would be really good friends! :-) Love the pictures too - you definitely captured some really great moments.

She is so sweet and innocent looking that it's hard to believe she was once a terror. I hope she has now overcome the insecutities that made her that way and will have a calm and peaceful life in her new home.
And I love how she got her name - really cute.
Best wishes and lots of luck to Donut and her family.

I'm the "grandma" of a rescue beagle. What in the name of God possesses human beings to turn against angels? Donut, Nellie ... doesn't matter so much as it matters that someone rescued them, had the patience that humans are supposed to have with them and gave them the life they deserve. Here I go again ... preachin' to the choir!! Donut is a physically beautiful little animal; they all have a beautiful soul. I agree with others... she does still look like a puppy. I should be so lucky!! The photo I've chosen is because it reminds me of my grand-beagle. Our son says that the trees in their yard all produce "doggie toys". From Ontario, Canada.

Your Donut is adorable, and you are wonderful for taking the time to work on her issues. We have a rescue beagle who is the sweetest thing until he is "resource guarding". We worked with a trainer to help us help him, and it is time well spent. All good dogs deserve a chance, and I'm so happy for you and Donut that she had that chance. What a SWEETHEART she is!!!

Oh, those horrible handsome hounds! I was laughing when I read this, as I have an adopted 1.5 year old male beagle who is STILL in need of a lot of training. His insane energy and curiosity get him into tons of trouble. But his beautiful face keeps him from ever being in trouble for too long. Having a beagle will teach you to have the patience of a saint.
