Donut the Beagle

Dog Breed: Beagle

Donut's mom says: In 2004, Donut was found on the street at 4 weeks of age, and for another 4 weeks lived with a foster mother who volunteered at the dog shelter. I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old, the day after her foster mother brought in to be spayed. I later found out that Donut's foster mother called her "The Little Monster" since Donut bit her twice a day for 4 weeks! My husband called her "PsychoPup" and her trainer called her "Cujo." We settled on Donut because she was "Sweet but Fried." Donut did not trust easily and threw incredible temper tantrums whenever she felt threatened. We went through 6 mentally and physically exhausting training classes, with the end result that she hasn't bitten anyone deliberately since she was 7 months old! Donut has grown from a ridiculously cute puppy (her trainer said "her face saved her life!") into a very pretty and friendly dog. She comes to the office every day, and is a big hit with coworkers and clients alike.
