Gambit's parents say: It's hard to remember what our lives were like before we got Gambit. After scouring the rescue websites relentlessly, we came across his picture on our local SPCA website and instantly fell in love. It wasn't long after that we brought him home, and life hasn't been the same since. Every day we can't believe how lucky we were to find such a gentle and loving dog. Wherever he goes people always comment on how handsome he is. We think he is a combination of Labrador, Shar-Pei, Australian Cattledog, and Pit Bull. We think it is a great combination; you've got to love those jowls. He's a 67-pound lap hound that wants nothing more than to jump into bed with us on Sunday mornings. He was hit by a vehicle eight months ago and needed surgery to repair his pelvic bone. Being the dog that he is (and with a little luck and a lot of love), he is back to being his old self again. Five months ago, we got a four-month-old black Labrador puppy. We were a little unsure of how Gambit would react at first, but he has turned out to be the best big brother a puppy could ask for.
