I have a parsons russell terrier just like Guinness, similar look & weight. Her vet says she is in perfect health and physical form... dont worry about guinness, absolutely gorgeous!!

You should be able to see or at least feel a dog's ribs, or else they are overweight

Guinness is a Handsome Little guy.but he looks skinny and looks like he needs more food.you shouldn't be able to see those hip bones.does he have a health condition? or maybe he just needs wormed.hope hes okay other wise.hes adorable kisses n hugs cutie Guinness

Guinness also struck me as being a bit on the lean side but JRTs are notorious for their abundant energy so I would imagine he keeps his weight nicely under control with much excercise. He is an adorable boy and I love his markings.

Hmmmm, yes he is thin however could he be a mix with a Whippet or IG? They are always of this body type. Even the long legs and ears point to Whippet? This could account for the lean body type. Very sweet pics.

Beautiful dog !! Her activity level is a good indicator of health. Your own Vet is the best source of advice. Meanwhile, this is a very good looking guy. The thing I love about JR's--they don't run, they bounce ! :)

Guinness does look thin; however, some breeds look thin naturally.He looks like a lot of fun. Our Jack Russell, Celia, is a lot of fun too. Can't get too much play time and such a lover!
