Dog Breed: Boxer

Harley is a rescued boxer. It is funny to think we almost didn't get him. I was looking at the dog next to him, but instead we got him, and I am so thankful for that. He is the most lovable dog I will ever know. He is gentle and and a big-hearted baby! He is now seven years old and sleeping and relaxing nonstop. He is spoiled rotten. There is no dog in the world that could replace him!

What a doll! He looks so like the boxers I grew up with when docking and cropping were the absolute rule for the breed. He's a lucky fellow to have found you,boxers are the sweetest slobber hounds in the world!!

They are both just beautiful. You can't beat having a boxer they are great with kids and family. We've had 5 boxers in the last 23 years.They are my favorite dog in the world. best of luck with your sweeties. = )

I've mentioned here before, that my only connection was to my uncle's boxer, "Butch", in the late '50's. What I remember about Butch the boxer, is that he braced himself for my baby cousin to use as a tool to pull herself up to stand. Those baby hands really grabbed purchase on his haunches and he didn't blink an eye while the 8-month old used him as her walker. I was, maybe 10-11 years old and my eyes popped! I've had the utmost respect for the breed since then. Harley and his "roomie" are beautiful gifts from God. Bless 'em all. Ontario Canada.
