Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog

Mya's mom says: Mya is our newest member to our family. We adopted her 4 months ago. Her old owner couldn't handle the responsibility of a puppy, and was going to have her put down. We instantly fell in love with her and brought her into our home. She is very intelligent, loyal and loves getting brushed! She also loves going for long walks or a good run in the park. She also loves a good car ride!!

What a gorgeous girl! Bless you for rescuing her - I can't believe how horrible some owners can be. Why on earth would they put her down rather than giving her to a shelter where she could find another family? She was very, very lucky to find you in time, and from the looks of those pictures, you guys were lucky to find her, too. What a perfect combination. :)

I just don't understand how people can just "put down" a sweet dog just because they don't fit into their lives! How selfish. I'm grateful she's in a better home now and will be loved like she deserves!! :)

Take a look at any photo. Does Mya look disposable to you?? I have a plastic razor in the bathroom ... now THAT'S disposable. Like other daily puppy fans, I don't get it but I'm sincerely grateful that Mya is in her safe, forever family. What a regal beauty! We can't wait to be able to take a lovely photo of our little muttley in green grass!! Hope it's warm and sunny where you are, Mya. Bless 'em all. Ontario, Canada

What in the world does it take to educate people that these beautiful creatures are not disposable? These people have to be ignorant and/or have no heart. As a GSD owner I have to say she is beautiful and the intelligence is there for everyone to see. She is so fortunate you adopted her and she will give back to you tenfold, a more loyal dog you will never have.

I've never owned a German shepherd but I think they are the most beautiful creatures.How could Anyone have a puppy put down in such a casual manner? She deserved a much better owner and I'm thrilled she got one. She had angels looking out for her!

I cannot believe that someone would "put down" this beautiful girl!!!!! What are some people thinking??? You are so wonderful for adopting this sweet girl and she will be such a blessing to your family. She is absolutely stunning!

Mya is beautiful. I have always loved german shepherds - to me they are like the 'blueprint' for dogs. I guess that is because as child I was a big fan of Rin Tin Tin (yes, I know I'm dating myself!) and wanted my own Rinny to do all those marvelous things and share all those adventures!
Thank you for giving her a loving home- I'm sure she will repay you with love, devotion and protection.
