Roxy Jo is just gorgeous. People can be so cruel, I just don't understand how someone could abuse beautiful Roxy Jo or any animal for that matter. It lovely to see her happy with a family that adore her. 11+ biscuits for you RJ xx

She's a BEAUTIFUL baby!! And lucky to have found you as I'm sure you feel the same about her!! Many years of happiness to you all!!

a lot of dogs can never recover or learn to love humans again after going through abuse like roxy jo. She looks happy and confident and still very beautiful. you must be doing a great job rehabilitating her. It is a lot easier for people to adopt a small cute little puppy that is easily trained. taking in a mostly grown, abused dog was very brave and probably very challenging. Roxy-jo will know in her heart the extra love, care, and patience you have given her so she can have a fair chance at a healthy and happy life.

I could cry thinking about the pain Roxy has endured, but I am so happy that she is now with a family who love and dote on her as she deserves. You are beautiful Roxy. Kisses, tummy rubs, hugs and all the biscuits you could ever want. Love you darling xxxxx

I've said it before and I will say it again: People who abuse animals should be horsewhipped. The stocks should be brought back just for them. Lucky for Roxy she has you!

I love Roxy Jo! Let's hope her adorably crooked face is the result not of abuse, but a common genetic "defect" in boxers and bulldogs called "wry mouth". I have a wonderful, perfect, beautiful, cutest-dog-ever Boxer mix with the same twisty jaw and tilted nose (no paralyzed tongue, though!). It just makes him even cuter than he would otherwise be, and gives him tons of personality, just like Roxy Jo! Roxy Jo sure looks like a happy young lady, and despite her rough start in life, she sure is lucky to have you. I have 6 rescue dogs, most of whom were abused, and you can't ask for more loving and grateful friends.

Roxy Jo - I'm sorry you had such a hard start in life. I would love to get my hands on anybody who hurt you. You are very pretty and I know you are loved now!

I check the Daily Puppy everyday and I think every dog is beautiful but the really special ones are the ones like Roxy Jo who were rescued from shelters or from the side of the road and saved from certain death. So many people don't value dogs but thank god for people like you who do!
Dec 29, 2008 HillCountryGal
Wonderful that you've found each other. Hope as time goes by, she will be able to shove out the ugly times of her life. I'll never understand how a person that calls themselves "human" can be so inhuman. So glad you rescued her.

She's adorable! It's nice to take in an abused animal. That's so cruel to abuse. Lots of biscuits for her!
Dec 29, 2008 daphne's mom
Roxy Jo I am so glad you found a nice forever home! It just goes to show that some people should not raise animals if they are going to abuse them.. No one derves that! I hope you now have many happy and healthy years! Much love and many biscuits! Happy New Year to all!

So glad you were able to save her before the low life did more damage. I'm sure you have made up for the horrid treatment she underwent. Roxy Jo deserves a beautiful life just like any animal should have. God bless you for providing a safe home for her.
Dec 29, 2008 Oliver's Mummy
Bless you for saving this beautiful girl. I'm sure it will take time to undo the unthinkable damage that has been inflicted on this innocent, but it sounds as though you are entirely up to the task. Roxy Jo has lovely markings and in spite of her past, there is profound love in her eyes. She will be forever grateful and again, bless you with everything wonderful in the new year and beyond. You and your family are angels on earth. Huge hugs from Oliver and his Mummy in London, Ontario

Roxy Jo!!! You are just ever so cute!! And I love your name!! You are lucky to have found such wonderful humans!!
Dec 29, 2008 gary
Never mind your past Lovely girl. You have a whole big future to look forward to. Tomorrow is another day of fun, and love. and then more love. and more fun.
Dec 29, 2008 Oliver's Mummy
P.S. To the poster Dottie, it stands to reason that any family that would extend themselves, to the extent that this family has, to rescue a very abused animal shares their home with that animal. It's nice to know that you care but I think you are "preaching to the choir" as they say!!!!
Dec 29, 2008 brunomom
Roxy Jo is a very lovely gal. Thank you so much for making your home, hers.
Dec 29, 2008 lucybee
Roxy Jo-I agree 100% with gary-Your past is sad to read about but you have a long life of love and care to look forward to and that is the most important thing. You are proof of the sweetness of boxers in general,a wonderful breed of dog!
Dec 29, 2008 lizanne
Aww, Roxie, It just isn't fair what some of the nicest doggies have to be put through. I am so glad that you were rescued and have a good home now and glad you found each other. Good luck to a very pretty girl who holds herself proudly and I hope she can let go of the past. Elizabeth~Big Hugs from Miss katie Dane=O)

If anybody is interested in adopting a dog for under 98 dollars, go to West La shelter. I also have a website about them. Go to it-at juliebloggerdogs.blogspot.com. Comment if you need info
Dec 30, 2008 John2
It's good to see Roxy Jo looking happy and alert. Most dogs do get over previous abuse if they can get into a loving home. We had a black and white Pit Bull named Patchesfor 15 years that came from an abusive home, and she became a well adjusted and very protecive girl.
Dec 30, 2008 boxerlover58
omg Roxy! it is so terrible that you had to go through all that, but luckily you have found yourself a wonderful home which you deserved from the beginning! You are such a beautiful little girl and i wish i could give you a big hug and spoil you with lots of treats!! you rock!
Dec 30, 2008 jasmine
She's clearly happy and healthy in her new forever home. What a big heart to take a second chance on people!
Dec 31, 2008 ej9909
She is very brave to give humans a second chance, some of the things that we do to dog, I wouldn't blame them for hating all humans. She looks like a very intelligent dog...either that or she's interested by something on the ground in front of her!

There is undoubtedly a special place in heaven for you, Roxy Jo's parents. For you to find it in your heart to bring this lovely girl home to have a second chance at life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you Roxy Jo.
