Dog Breed: Border Collie

This is my beautiful border collie mix, Tequila! My parents adopted her from the humane society as a gift for me when I was seven years old. She is the only dog I've ever had; I truly grew up with this dog. She's smart, playful, and affectionate. Even at 11 years old, she's still up and at it, chasing squirrels, going for runs, and making 'forts' in the hedges in my yard! I'd love to find out what other breeds she's mixed with. Her ears are so unique--I've never seen any like them! I'm just wondering where they came from.

First of all, she is lovely. Second, I apologize for my spelling but her ears remind me of either a Shipperkey (SP?) or a Pappion (SP?). I hope you can understand the kind of dog I mean. Anyway she is beautiful and it doesn't really matter because she is obviously your best friend!!!!

Your gorgeous doggie is definitely collie mixed with a bit of Papillion (or Butterfly Dog). Her ear and tail give that away! Do a search on Daily Puppy to see some other people's ute little papillions!

I can't imagine a better gift for a child than a beautiful dog like Tequila (nice name for a kid's dog btw haha). She is absolutely wonderful and it's a great thing to hear how much of a friend she's been to you all these years. I grew up with my dog, too, and she remains to this day one of the best friends I'll ever be lucky enough to count. Enjoy this dainty lady--and remember to tell her how much you love her every day! And, also, give her a super massive pet from Switzerland! You're adorable Tequila!
