Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Postby BraveTyphlosion on Sat Dec 08, 2012 2:56 pm

Finally found the camera so I could take pictures of my little "bundle of joy". Teddy acctually likes to pose, but he will only do it for a split second before he decides its time to wiggle around some more. I'll probably add lots since my puppy is just soooo good looking ;D and give some updates on how he is doing.

Froggy Towel

What can I say? This is more for cuteness than anything but he also likes to snuggle up with his froggy towel on after a bath and take a wee nap.

Paying Attention $$$

It's a miracle! He is sitting nicely for me in doggy class. Although typically I hate pictures of myself(Eww, I look short and stubby and my hair is too long xP) I really like the way Teddy looks very focused and ready to listen.

Teddy is adorable! I do love his attention on you. Do they give your homework, I do that with my clients. They have homework, it makes a big difference.

Thanks, he is the best looking puppy in the whole class in my opinion ;D but of course I'm biased x3

We get a sheet of paper after every class that pretty much tells us to practice and explains puppy development :P Either way, he will be taking the class again. Hopefully his ability to focus in such a stimulating environment will get better.

It will get better! Remember dog training is like a graph that goes up with a few dips on the upswing. That is how dog training is, progression is the up and the dips are the normal behaviour lows which get us frustrated, but we should not be. Afterall when working with a living thinking creature there will be dips, it's the progression of the graph that we should happy with.

Most of all have fun! The puppy years go too quickly and remember.....dog training is never done!

Bravo Kian...I would love to be able to take your classes? No mater how much experience I have had I can allways learn more..I agree that training is never done..

I had one instructor for confirmation classes which I liked so well that I took her class every time it was offered..She showed Rotys and Basenjis and was a really savvy exhibitor/breeder...I still have all of her secret formulas for grooming sprays, weaning formulas, coat supplements, etc.

Dear Gabi, speaking as an old dude who has been around for a wile..Women in general and young women in particular tend to be too hard on themselves ..NEVER point out anything you perceive to be negative about yourself, your friends will never notice and who else cares?...Remember a sweet smile and a sunny disposition conquers all. :D

BTW your puppy looks great,I was allways impressed by the quality of the Dobies I saw being shown in Canada..The GSDs there are also outstanding and better than many of those I have seen in the US ( more imports, thus a better gene pool )
