Our New Little Monster - What do you think he is?

We just adopted this little guy. One look at this face and we could not resist. Add the fact that has a huge personality to go with his future size, and we just had to take him home.

The shelter just listed him as a "mastif," but we were curious if anyone could guess at what he will be when he grows up

Possible Mastiff mix, not a purebreed. Puppies change quickly, wait till he is older and you may get a better guess. He is want we call a Big Brown Dog, a cute one for sure.

He reminds me a bit of an Anatolian Shepherd or possibly a Rhodesian Ridgeback

Our little guy is growing up and is now 4 months old and 40 pounds.

We thought he might be a Mastiff mix, possibly with Great Dane, known as a Daniff. After searching for different red dog breeds, we found one that looks very close: a Red Alabama Black Mouth Cur. Does anyone have experience with this breed and can verify?

Thats a big boy for four months! why dont you try DNA testing? The former owners of my pup said he was a mastiff husky...uhhhh...I dont see either!! Everyone thinks he is a pitt bull lab, who knows!!
