Hi everyone! I'd like you to meet the reason I've hardly been on the forums since February. This is our sweet little Bella, whom we adopted on February 7th. Since then, we've all been much happier and MUCH busier than we'd been for a while!
We got Bella from a rescue group here in Indiana, where she'd been in foster care with her littermates from the age of five weeks. Luckily, they were fostered with several adult dogs and learned good doggy social skills that they couldn't learn from their mother. The rescue worker who fostered her believed she was a Lab/Golden mix and that seems about right, although there may well be more than two breeds in her background.
She's animated, affectionate, comical and goofy and, despite being the most distractible puppy in the group, she managed to graduate from her puppy class a few weeks ago. We're planning to put her in intermediate obedience classes soon.
And even though our nine-year-old dog Jasper, would probably have voted no to getting a puppy, Bella has charmed him with her submissive, but persistently playful ways. She thinks he's the greatest and I think he thinks she's kind of cute.
