Tesla, an Aussie Shepherd.

He's such a good boy and puppy ownership has been wonderful so far.
However, most of the people we encounter ask if he's a Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog.
I don't think he looks like one at all, since Blue Heelers have short hair and erect ears.
What do you think?

On a side note, do you think it's cruel to dress puppies up? We put him in a sheep costume 2 nights ago (since he's a shepherd..chuckle) and other than him trying to bite the head, he didn't seem to mind it too much. He also got a lot of treats out of it so maybe it was a good experience?

Tesla's absolutely beautiful. I love his markings! I don't know why people are guessing his breed wrong; he sure looks like an Aussie to me.

Welcome! Tesla is beautiful. He looks to be more working bred (slightly shorter hair and less compact than some show bred Aussies). My roommate has a purebred red merle Aussie who has working lines and people often ask if she's an Aussie/BC cross because she's more slender and leggy. Anyway, Tesla is beautiful!
