Beamer is pretty much ignoring the bunny too. Occassionally she'll stare and seem more focused, but responds immediately to an "ah ah". She gave Tahsis another little eff off! this afternoon, and Tahsis took up residence behind an arm chair. She's out now though, thanks to some coaxing from Mike. Both dogs are now laying on the floor (not near eachother, but at least neither is in hiding).

Beamer is absolutely amazing in the crate. An puppy adoptor (Lucy's!) was over this evening to finalize their adoption, and I put her in the crate because I figured it would just be far too much action. The only noise she made was when a puppy came investigating too close. Last night was a dream too. Far better than I was expecting.

She's still quite nervous, although she did settle (albeit briefly) to chew on a knuckle bone. Taking that as a good sign! She also seems to be completely house broken, and has great house manners. Not sure if that's just because she's too nervous to do anything but pace and pant.

Unfortunately, she's pretty itchy. And sneezing and "huffing" a lot. We're extremely lucky to have a vet tech/vet student as one of our core volunteers, so I'll be contacting her to see what she thinks.

Thanks everyone for asking how she's doing.

Beamer is gorgeous!!! Hopefully she settles in quickly and her and Tahsis can hang out and play instead of ignoring each other.

Tahsis is a complete dork. This morning she thought it would be appropriate to stand at the top of the stairs and clobber Beamer on the head as she came up them. Needless to say, Beamer told her where to go.

They ARE getting more comfortable around eachother, though. Tahsis wouldn't even think of trying to initiate play before. She just needs to learn how to do it in an appropriate manner. Beamer is definitely settling. She's not panting or drinking nearly as much, her appetite is slowly coming around, she's resting more comfortable (flat out on her side instead of curled in a ball), and she even pounced on a bone before settling down to chew on it!

I had to mow the lawn yesterday, and while she avoided, she wasn't terribly upset by the loud noisy thing (or the sweaty noisy thing trying to push the mower through holes in the ground).

She's still amazing in the crate, once she's in there. She isn't very food motivated with the treats I currently have...so I'm having to lead her in. This morning she was being a bit of a brat and running away from me, but we'll get there.

Lynners, I'm sure with all the moving around Beamer had to do just to arrive at your house, she was very unsettled. It sounds like she is adjusting well and quickly. Tassy is funny. This is a good opportunity for her as well.

You really are an angel among us Lynners. I have nothing but admiration and respect for all that you do, and the graciousness with which you do it.
