Two questions

Postby UrsaDad on Thu Jul 22, 2010 10:11 pm

How do I delete a posting once it has been answered (about how to use this forum) and where is "Show Yourself" - a stickie? I can't find anything called that in the general forum. Lots of the threads seem very old, is it possible that it's been deleted for lack of use?

Hi there,

to delete a post, you can 1) do it yourself by going to the post in question and clicking the "x" symbol beside "edit"....to the left of your avatar or 2) private message a mod and request it.

You can find the "Show Yourself" sticky in the General Forum. http://www.dailypuppy.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14

Also, a "sticky" means that the post will always appear at the top of the list in a forum. So with the "Show Yourself" topic, it will always be one of the first few topics in the General section, no matter when the last post was.

Alsotoo, we don't usually delete posts simply because we've received an answer to our question. The forum is very public, and many people use it for research and information, so even though YOU are satisfied with the answer to your question, others may gain help by reading your question and the subsequent answers. We are all about help here... :)

Old threads that are not posted to in more than six months are removed by Admin, unless they are "sticky".
