I have a new little English Springer Spaniel puppy (well, he is growing like a weed and doubled in size in just 2 months). We got him at 8 weeks old and he's 4 months old now and he is sooooo much fun!!
We just lost our 11 year old springer in April and I was devastated....cried all the time... and swore..."no more dogs" because the pain of losing them is so hard and painful.......but....that lasted all of 3 days and I just couldn't stand being without a dog in the house. I've had dogs all my life and the house was just so empty. No wagging tails when we come home....no dog looking out the window watching us come and go...no bellies to rub, ears to scratch, licks on the face and no snuggling. It was awful!!....enter.... Mr McGee!! We just call him McGee though. He is the cutest and funniest puppy and has really helped ease that pain of losing our Sammy. The pain is still there....I still cry for him and miss him soooo much....but my little McGee lifts my spirits.
I almost forgot how much energy puppies have....but he keeps me going. Good thing I watch my sons dog every day, a mini schnauzer named Willie, because they have become good friends and playmates and he gives me a break...
Oh well...I better stop here. I can go on and on and on....sorry
He is such a happy, happy dog....and smart too.
