Hi!! New to this forum...

Hi All....I am so happy to have found this website and this forum. It's nice to be around dog and all animal lovers.
I have a new little English Springer Spaniel puppy (well, he is growing like a weed and doubled in size in just 2 months). We got him at 8 weeks old and he's 4 months old now and he is sooooo much fun!!

We just lost our 11 year old springer in April and I was devastated....cried all the time... and swore..."no more dogs" because the pain of losing them is so hard and painful.......but....that lasted all of 3 days and I just couldn't stand being without a dog in the house. I've had dogs all my life and the house was just so empty. No wagging tails when we come home....no dog looking out the window watching us come and go...no bellies to rub, ears to scratch, licks on the face and no snuggling. It was awful!!....enter.... Mr McGee!! We just call him McGee though. He is the cutest and funniest puppy and has really helped ease that pain of losing our Sammy. The pain is still there....I still cry for him and miss him soooo much....but my little McGee lifts my spirits.

I almost forgot how much energy puppies have....but he keeps me going. Good thing I watch my sons dog every day, a mini schnauzer named Willie, because they have become good friends and playmates and he gives me a break... . It took a few weeks for Willie to accept McGee though because my Sammy was his best friend in the world and he missed his buddy....real bad  . Never saw anything like it....but...eventually, he accepted a new buddy and they are both so happy now.

Oh well...I better stop here. I can go on and on and on....sorry  I'm not good with computers so I'm going to try to get a picture in here of McGee...and his friend Willie. Hope I can do it. He's really cute...(spoken like a proud mommy)

He is such a happy, happy dog....and smart too.

McGhee is just lovely! I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Sammy, but am very pleased that McGhee has come into your life. He's a beautiful boy indeed.

Welcome to DP Yankigal. McGee is one adorable puppy and I'm glad that he has done such a great job of easing the pain from the loss of your Sammy. When a beloved pet is lost, they can never be replaced but we can create a new place in our heart equally as big to be filled.

McGee is just cute as pie, isn't he? I love a speckled belly. Makes you want to get in there and burbish the heck out of it!

I keep thinking McGee from NCIS and bless him the pup doesn't look a bit like him.

Ha! I like that character on NCIS. What went through my head is "Fibber McGee", which is some character from some old cartoon (I think) that my grandparents used to talk about. If they thought we were "bullfudging" they would call us Fibber McGee!

I remember "Fibber McGee and Molly" from old, old radio days! Am I showing my age? LOL

Thank you all, for the warm welcome and sweet comments on my boy!! I just love him to pieces. My husband says I am obssessed with him....and I must admit....I am!!! :D Everyone here also has BEAUTIFUL poochies. If I could, I'd have 100 dogs!!

For some reason, the pictures of my little McGee and his best buddy, Willie, didn't make it in my last (first) post, so I will try it again here. Hope it works!! The funny thing is...as soon as McGee heard the camera go on, his little eyes opened. He didn't move a muscle though, and then he just went back to sleep. He's really funny.

Those pictures are adorable! I'm glad you wrote the explanation about McGhee's eyes moving at the sound of the camera, as that is precisely what it looks like in the first picture, which made me laugh.

Willie clearly loves McGhee and it's obviously mutual. Lovely photos!

McGee is adorable! And his friend Willie is pretty cute too!

We all know the pain of losing our best friends and companions. I lost my Rex in March and went two months before feeling I was ready to find a new companion. Thankfully I did and now I have little Jose. It sounds like McGee came into your life at the right time.

Welcome to the Daily Puppy from Margie and Jose in Northern Vermont!

It just occurred to me that if McGhee's first name were "Bobby", Willie could sing "Me and Bobby McGhee" to his friend when they are cuddling and snoozing.
