Trim the Border Collie and her exciting day ...

Postby Trimrose on Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:23 am

Hello all. Hope that you and your best friends are well! :) As some of you may know from my profile, I brought my first dog (a gorgeous victorian style - sable - Border Collie girl named Trim).

I'm unsure of exactly what to say, however, I did write a short paragraph about her first full day home. Here is is:
"So far Trim has had lunch (and eaten up all of her smelly canned tripe). She then did something very clever - she led me to the yard when she needed to go to the toilet. All I needed to say was 'make a puddle' and the job was done. No more accidents since this morning.
My sister was sat, eating some Cereal, when Trim came up to her and just sat patiently. Nina had to give her a little flake of cereal. :) We have been training her to sit (which is going well) so that might explain it.
She's lying at my feet right now.
Not really. ;) Well, she's just moved and is now playing with Mr. Roadkill, her little toy fox.
It has been a busy day, and it's not even 2PM!"

And of course, here's a photo of her. Taken a few days at her previous home in the Lake District before we brought her home to the north east of England (luckily we're near a large number of beaches, so she'll never be short of a good walk).

Trust me to forget to introduce myself! Most of the attention at home is on Trim, at the moment.
Anyhow, I'm Rosie. I'm 16, and I've just been discharged from an inpatient clinic, however, I've been planning to get a Border Collie and researching the breed for two years. Trim's an absolute star, and I'm so happy to be her owner/pet. (:

After speaking with the OP and having her post more pics, I have decided to unlock her thread and welcome her to DP.
She has given me reasons to believe her profile is real.

Welcome to DP Rosie and Trim! We will enjoy seeing and hearing about your pup. It is good you researched this breed as they are quite active, but lots of fun.
