Emmy, I am very sorry to hear this. But it is better that you find the perfect home for Nena, rather than be forced to surrender her to who-knows-what.
You have learned a great deal about dogs in your short time together, and that will serve you well for your next adventure in dogs. Perhaps next time you might consider an older dog, one that is already housebroken (or closer to it!) and one that isn't quite so needy that he barks all the time. Puppies really need someone around 24/7, and although some of us just can't give that kind of time to our puppies, it doesn't mean they don't NEED it.
I'm very proud that you have made this very difficult decision. I hope you will still continue to visit here, whether you have a dog or not at the time. You have a contribution to make here, and will always be welcome.
BTW, dogs in the bathroom are pretty common around here! I didn't use the bathroom alone for almost two years, and Kiba still bangs the door open (we don't lock or latch the door) to make sure I'm still in there! LOL!
Emmy I am so sorry to hear that, I agree with Phyrie better in your control than out of . She is still young enough to bond with another owner. I have enjoyed your input and getting to know you, please do keep posting and let us know what you decided to do about Nena. Please still submit pictures in the photo thread as well, we don't want you to just go away, but we do all understand and Thank You so much for your service!
Emmy, I am so sorry. It breaks my heart that you have to go through this. I can only imagine how sad you must be; you obviously love Nena! I give you credit for being willing to make the hard decision. I grieve for and with you. At least you know that she'll go to a good home - and maybe you can even stay in touch with her.
I have been away on assignment for a little while, but I am here! Nena has been behaving more after taking away the crate. Her new hang out is under the sofa! Hopefully in the next couple of days I will be moving within my apartment complex to a place with a yard for Nena. My landlord has been very helpful in the matter and they love Nena!
Emmy, its good to hear from you again! Thats an excellent picture of Nena. I'm glad to hear you got the living arrangements settled so it will work out that you can keep Nena AND your landlord is working with you, even better!
Nena is getting so big! Such beautiful green eyes she has too!
I'm glad to hear that there has been good news on the living situation. I must admit that I was thinking of you the other day and how we haven't heard from you. I feared that meant bad news, and I'm so happy that that is not the case.
Emmy, I am so happy to hear that Nena will be staying with you and your housing issues are working out. When will your family be joining you? And, yes, Nena has grown so much. They just don't stay little puppies for long. Darn!
