(The web address is to a video of Milah demanding some BBQ chips!
Milah (pronounced 'my-lah') came from a shelter in Camden South Carolina, The Walter Crowe Animal Shelter http://www.waltermcroweanimalshelter.org/. Her and a brother and sister had just been found 2 days before we got there, they were all very skittish and so little! Milah's ears were too big for her head but she had the prettiest markings. They told us she was about 6-8 weeks old and they had not found the mama dog, but thought she was a mix of some kind of shepherd and something else. We fell in love! One of the pictures is when my husband first got to hold her at the shelter. Later it was guessed that she was an Australian Shepherd and Collie mix, though there may be something else mixed in as well because her coat is not as long and shaggy like most Australian Shepherd pups. We shall see!
When we first brought her home she sounded like a cat when she barked or whined, now she is growing into her puppy voice. She loves to chew on her squeaky, green bone and already plays fetch pretty well! She has already dug a hole in what would be my garden area, and loves to find worms and nuts! She gets the hiccups ALL the time and its so funny! She hasnt quite mastered coming when called and we are still working on no potty accidents inside. I could go on and on
