Hello From MO!

Hello, My name is Darrilyn. I'm 17 and from a small town in Missouri. I've had a profile on here for sometime but never got around to exploring it further. I am the proud owner of 2 feisty miniature dachshunds! Reba, who is 1 year and 4 months, and Ryder, who is 1 year and 3 months. My family has had a dachshund ever since I can remember. I love their rambunctious attitudes. I just recently got my GED and I'm hoping to enroll in college sometime next year. I want to major in culinary arts or become an EMT if I don't go to college.

Now a little about my babies(:

Reba is a red long haired dachshund that is just as lovey as can be. She loves to run and play in our yard with Ryder and my moms chihuahua Itty. She also loves to cuddle up in my lap and watch TV with me and get some lovins. She can be a brat at times but I love her to pieces. Her favorite food is bananas which i find kinda strange haha. I just recently found out that Reba is pregnant. It was an oops but I'm ecstatic! I'm not exactly sure how far along she is but I'll be taking her to the vet ASAP.

Ryder is a black and tan short haired dachshund. He is very stubborn and playful. He loves to pick on the cat and the big outside dog, Bubba. He loves his squeaky toys and playing tug-of-war with anything and everything he can get his lips on. Just like Reba he likes to cuddle up with me and get lovins. He's very energetic and is always running through the house barking. His favorite food is apples and carrots. As you read earlier Ryder is going to be a daddy! He's been very gentle with Reba since she has started showing.

My dogs are everything to me. They are always there and can always put a smile on my face.
I love them both to pieces!

Welcome to DP, your two are really adorable. I had a black/tan doxie as a child, she was a good dog. Would love to see Bubba to.

Good luck with your school, both sound like wonderful careers. I was a EMT for a short time and that was fun, lots of good skills and you can still do culinary arts, another great skill. Why not both? Have fun, at 17 there is a lot to look forward to.

This is the best picture i could get of him. He's a bit of a wiggle worm. We found him in a nearby town running through a construction zone scared as could be. We picked him up and left a note the people at gas station there saying where we lived and all that in case anyone came looking for him. Lucky for us no one did. Bubba is an awesome dog. He barks at any cars coming in and out.. We live about a football field lengths away from the highway and when red or white cars or any big trucks drive by he takes off out across the field barking and having a fit. One day he might catch one haha. He stays outside 90% of the time because that's where he likes to be but when he does come in the house he doesn't get on the funtiture unless he's up in my lap trying to get lovins. He thinks he's a lap dog. We're not exactly sure what kinda dog he is but we think he's some kinda collie mix.

Oh he is.. He thinks he's a lap dog lol. He's a very good watch dog tho. Thank you Cyndy. Dachshunds are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

Yes they are. My older sister has two and my younger sister has one. W grew up with them in our family and they have just stayed.
