My name is Amy and I'm the mom of a 12 year old Blue Merle Miniature Australian Shepherd and a 5 month old pain-in-just-about-everything kitten.
I am from Georgia, USA. I finished college last July and am currently NOT using my degree, surprise surprise! But upon graduation and moving to a new place with my boyfriend I was able to move my dog from my parents' home to mine. She went from being strictly outdoors to strictly indoors. She doesn't complain much because she lives in the lap of luxury. Spoiled rotten!
She wasn't too thrilled when my boyfriend and I found a kitten in the bushes outside our apartment and made the decision to keep her. She's sort of a grump. Where the cat likes to play and cuddle, the dog would rather sleep in a corner on her own...away from the cat.
I am completely in love with Aussies and Corgis. I can't have a corgi yet because of money and the fact that my dog is antisocial and a grump.
Here is my blue, Bonnie with my boyfriend at the park:

And here she is not particularly thrilled about the pain in my everything cat:

Here she was about 5 years ago, full coated and super happy!

She thinks I'm a little strange sometimes:

But I don't mind much.
Her coat is growing back now and I'm so excited!

I had to shave her almost completely down when I moved her from my parents' to my house. My parents, as much as they loved her, didn't have the time for her like they used to so she was stuck outside on her own most of the day with no grooming. She ended up with loads of matted fur! So the best thing for me to do in that situation was to shave her. All her pretty hair went bye bye! I was so upset.
By no means would I shave her again unless for health reasons. She was so cold for about a month. She had to wear a sweater in the air conditioning. And she didn't look herself.
There you have it.
My name is Amy.
And I'm addicted to dogs.
