RJM, Monster snorts however it is usually only when he is sniffing something. Which one of your poor babies got attacked by a muskrat?
I believe that is strangled itself as the holes in the chain fence are rather small especially compared to the size of the muskrat. I'm glad it was dead too because its head was stuck facing in the yard and who knows what would have happened.

We tore up the garage floor a few days ago (it sunk about a foot or two over the years and there was a big crack) so until it's finished (which may take 2 weeks!) I have to bring the dogs around through the front door into the backyard. Usually they go through the garage to go outside and when I bring them on walks I would put them out back then we would proceed through the gate in the backyard. So they never go through the front door. You can just imagine how confusing this is for them.
I set up a routine for them though. When they're inside they don't have their collars on so once they want to go outside I will put one of their collars on first, make sure no one is walking down the street and allow the one with the collar on access out the door and have them sit and wait, then I say "okay, out back" and they go right to the back gate. Then I just do the same for the other one if they want out too. Bringing them inside is basically the same thing.
Putting their leashes on is safer I know, but as long as no one is walking or biking passed the house they stay with me. Also they just basically go straight to the door and gate, some times however they go to the car doors.
Guess what yesterday was! Miss Remingtons Birthday! i can hardly believe that she is 2!

I am thinking of working on getting Remi Canine Good Citizen certified, or whatever it is called. I have been slacking on her training ever since the surgery and I think now is a good time. She really enjoys learning and training, maybe even more than playing...although not more than playing with her doggie friends. It will most likely be hard work but it will be good for her.
