Luckily, the woe usually only lasts a day or so. It's keeping him quiet AFTER the woe that gives the trouble. A crate is invaluable at that stage of his recovery.

Heal quick, Pingu! Saffy needs you!

Louise you are the master of doing videos! Pingu looks good despite the days event. I have to share, as I watched this Ice was watching and would glance up at me a few times as if to say "Mom your not going to do that me?", it was funny.
Actually he just wants attention!

Pingu heal quick so Saffy has her buddy back!

Louise, I just want to snuggle with sweet little Pingu. He does look so woeful and as if he doesn't understand what in the world he did to deserve THAT! Bless his sweet heart.

The medication your Vet will have prescribed will help keep him quiet, and he will want to be quiet I suspect for at least the next 24 to 36 hours. I don't dare use a day of the week anymore. :P

This is Henry when he first came home....and the very first time Oliver ever initiated a hug with Henry (of course laying his head in Henry's most sensitive area....I hope you don't mind me posting it in here):

Image

Here is just one more of Henry, snuggling with Elliot, totally enjoying his meds:

Give Pingu huge hugs from his Canadian friends. He will be back to being a Pistol in no time! ♥

I also think that is perfect that you will be able to stay home and take care of him. You are very responsible to think of that, and plan accordingly. His sweet face nearly brought tears to my eyes. Bless his wee heart!

Awww....Pingu looks so sad! And so absolutely adorable!!! I would love to snuggle that sweet little guy.

Hugs to you, little Pingu. You'll feel better in a day or two!

Deb, that photo of Henry and Oliver is so precious! And the one of Henry looking at the camera is either "hey...I'm feeling...gooooood" or "I cannot believe YOU did this to me"

:D THANKS EVERYONE! :D

Haha RJM, I'll do that for you! Not that I haven't already been doing that for the last 2 days! But I'll give him a cuddle from you!

You are definitely right Phyrie!!! :P Actually I think the meds have worn out and he is back to his usual "Pingu the Pistol" self... which makes my job harder, but I'm okay with that.

Haha Kian, thanks, I'm definitely no master though. I think my computer program should get half the credit... then Saffy & Pingu for being SUPER CUTE, since they are the stars after all!

Deb I don't mind those photos at all! Those super adorable pictures are definitely welcome on this thread! :P Haha, that first photo of Oliver.... just his face cracks me up!!! Haha the second picture, Henry looks like he is going to be knocked out or fall asleep! Just SO CUTE! :) Haha, he is so easy-going it's funny comparing Saffy & him, she is just SOOOOO EMOTIONAL while Pingu just "goes with the flow". 8)

Margie thanks! Yes, he definitely feels better now! But the not so good thing is he wants to play!!! Awww, poor thing 'cause that's not gonna happen! He's been getting many hugs, cuddles and kisses lately. :P

Lately I've just been at home with Saffy & Pingu, and Pingu thinks that he is allowed to run around the place... I take him for a pee outside on the leash... instead he bounces up and down like a kangaroo(still on the leash). HE CANNOT WALK NORMAL!!!
He has just so much energy stored that he goes nuts when it comes to "Business Time"...
Other than that things are going good. So this Saturday Pingu is going to get his stitches out and Saffy & Pingu will both get a puppy club hydro-bath too for free. (Since they went to our vet's puppy pre-school ~ they are allowed 1 free puppy club hydro-bath and nail clipping each month until 16months)
We haven't taken them every month but sometimes it is a MUST when a little girl sometimes rolls on a dead bird and smells HORRIBLE...

Louise, that video made me sleepy! I loved the beginning where Saffy does what I call the "smacky mouth". Oliver does a lot of that when he's falling asleep.

Pingu is determined to stay awake all the time you are moving about with the camera in his face. It sounds like our little "Pistol" is recovering nicely from the loss of his Mandagalies. Poor wee chappy. Both Oliver & Henry had dissolving sutures so there was no need for removal.

It will be lovely for them to each have a day at the Spa.

I nearly forgot to mention how much I enjoyed Saffy's slow breathing fogging up the camera lens. SO sweet!

Awww!! I love that video! I love the sound of Saffy sleeping as her breath fogged up your camera! It is so obvious how much they love and trust you in the way they look at you...even with a camera their faces!!

Re: Saffy & Pingu (Pingu's Operation ~RECOVERY~ Latest Video)

Postby cutiepants26 on Fri Sep 23, 2011 11:09 pm

Haha thanks Deb & Margie!!!
And thanks Margie & Kian for liking Saffy & Pingu's Facebook Pages!

Well today Saffy & Pingu had their puppy club hydrobath and Pingu got his stitches removed, YAY! hehe.
But he still has to wear the Elizabethian Collar for another 2days, but at least the vet said he could run and play like normal which is FANTASTIC!!!
So since mum was working and Bill was out of town, my mum's friend took me to the vet, and he owns Blacky and Rocky, (Pingu's mum and brother). And their neighbour owns Sookie, one of Pingu's other brothers, hehe.
So I took SO MANY photos and a few videos of them all!!!
It was just SO MUCH FUN, and they were all very happy and excited, although Blacky preferred her space from Saffy & Pingu(even her own son!!!) Hehe.
But all was good, so hopefully if I start editing things the next video will be of their play-day from today!!!
Saffy was so hot that she hoped in the little pond they had and layed down in there!!!
HAHA! Too bad I couldn't capture it though cause she was ADORABLE! :P

But the video I just uploaded is ALL ABOUT PINGU!!!
Pingu has a few special fans and I noticed that his videos have quite high views, so I had to add this one to show some more of my little guy!

Pingu is such a little Poppet! What a lovely montage of his photos. :D

I love the last few as well, with sweet Saffy. 8)

Louise, they are both so lovely, and you know Pingu absolutely owns my heart! I love Saffy too though. They both own my heart, but this is Pingu's video.

That is a lovely video.

Haha yes it is Pingu's video  and thanks Deb! :P
Pingu has been SUPER HAPPY for the last hour since I just took off his Elizabethian Collar and he is going NUTS!
That's my boy! Haha!

This is Pingu's new TAG since he lost his green microchip one, Saffy still has hers though.
It has Pingu's name, my mum's mobile, and then Pingu's microchip number on it. (But I blurred out the personal details)
It reflects at night and we got it for $17, we thought it was a pretty good deal since the company sent it to us and had everything engraved when we got it, so I guess it's a WIN-WIN situation, hehe. :D

Louise, I can't believe that Pingu is actually trying to mount/play with his sibling(?) that way so soon after surgery! Apparently he isn't sore anymore.

That is an adorable montage. I love Pingu's new tag, complete with the two paw prints on it, one big, one small, representing Saffy and Pingu. :D

Louise, that video of Pingu was so sweet! I was trying to figure out why he looks so different now from his puppy pics...then as the video when along, it was quite glaring: his ears!! He went from floppy ears to stand up Big Ears! So cute! And the photo of he and Saffy sleeping, where she has her leg around him...cuddling...made my heart go "awwww..."

I love Pingu's new tag!

And they certainly were having fun on their playdate! Yeah...I would say Pingu isn't sore anymore...

Haha yea, that was on Saturday and the vet said that Pingu could PLAY AS MUCH AS HE WANTED!!! Hehe, but just had to leave the Elizabethian Collar on for an extra 2 days, which I took it off yesterday. So now he is COMPLETELY FREE and SUPER HAPPY, haha! :P

Yes Margie, I was just looking at photos of Pingu from when he was a puppy and his ears!!! They flopped over at the ends, now they stand pricked up! Hehe. They sleep together like that quite often!!! Which they look like little angels when Saffy puts her paw around him. :D

Haha Deb, Pingu was having the time of his LIFE! Too bad Marley wasn't there(Pingu sister) because my friend is looking after her because she just had her spayed!!! Haha, just when Pingu was finished with his operation. I didn't even notice the 2 paws! (well I did) but didn't think of them like that! WOW! That's so cool! Haha!!!

Saffy and Pingu are so sweet together. And now that Margie's mentioned it, Pingu IS getting his "big boy" ears...LOL!
