Welcome me and Jasper!

Hey there! My name is Connie and I am new here as well as my puppy Jasper! He is a new member of our family and we love him very much. He is a mixed breed that we adopted from a friend of ours. We know he is pit (or we think) and mixed with something else. He is a short legged dog but has big paws. He is about 5 months old already and has just grown in weight, not size! We are curious as to what he's mixed with and any suggestions are welcome! Here is a picture of him!

Welcome back, you were here a few years after losing your Doxie mix, so sad. Glad you found another dog! How are your children getting along with the new pup?

He almost has Basset legs, so cute! I see so many possibilties in his sweet face. Could you post a few more pics and one from the side?

Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I sadly lost my bit bit a few years ago and it really traumatized me. The mail carrier whom hit her was always strung out on script drugs and we filed many complaints before the accident but alas, it still happened. My baby was hit in our yard and the mail carrier had no reason to be in our yard in the first place. My baby was in the middle of our yard laying down with three of her legs broken. We took her to the vet and they put her to sleep. That woman has since been terminated but she had always ran her car in the ditch, etc, and was a very bad person.

On a happier note, we finally found our forever pup! We went through a few who didn't work out with our children and Jasper loves them to pieces. He lets our 3 year old pick him up and tote him everywhere without complaint! He's really an overall happy and well mannered dog, as well as calm and patient. He's a joy!

He likes to be outside most of the time with our other dog playing but he comes in at least once a day to lay with me and be cuddled. I will post more pics of him tomorrow since he's already gone to bed but thanks for the reply!

I wonder what happened to that carrier. I am just so glad it wasn't one of your children, glad she lost her job. It's scary to think she might still be on the road somewhere.

Jasper is a cutie. I also thought Basset when I saw his stumpy little legs.
I'm so sorry about the loss of Little Bit, how traumatic that must have been.
