Hi!
I have surfed Daily Puppy for sometime, but never really realized how much of a community it is! I am an enormous animal lover and love to talk about them more than my friends can really handle. So I thought I would just take the plunge and make a profile. This dive is partially due to my new mini Aussie who I am picking up in May. I haven't had a puppy in ten years and I am excited to show off all of his adorable pictures!

He gets to come home May 4th, when he's 8 and a half weeks. He's just a little 2 week old baby now!

Hi Allison,
Murphy and Tank are such beautiful dogs. Your unnamed baby Aussie is so tiny and precious. Have you thought of any names yet? When I got my puppy 'Harley' I named him about 10 minutes after I saw him! It just came to me because I had always loved that name ever since I was a child. I remember that every time I got a stuffed puppy or animal I always called him Harley. So I knew without hesitation what his name would be. I cant wait to see more pictures of you beautiful dogs and the baby Aussie!

I have been working relentlessly to think of a good puppy name but have just been adding to my now extensive list. I too had a favorite stuffed animal name, but I don't think he looks like a Ralph (who knows where that came from). But if you want to know my current shortlist, derived from a page long longlist, here it goes:
Archer
Chase
Douglas
Finn
Hudson
Jack
Koda
Max
Mason
Miles
Petey
Sampson
Teddy

I can see why you are having problems just choosing one name. They are all very cute names and im sure any of them would suit him. Im sure whatever name you decide will be perfect for him. I look forward to seeing which name you pick good luck :)

Hi Allison! Welcome to the DP, from Mary Ann, Jasper and Bella in Indiana. Murphy and Tank are beautiful dogs and the tiny unnamed one looks as cute as can be! I can't wait to see his pictures as he grows up.

I think all your potential names are good choices but I know it's hard to decide on the name he'll have forever. I just love naming dogs (and cats, and babies) and I've had no part in naming our last two because we let the kids choose. So I've got a long list of male and female names that I'm saving for the next one, which we probably won't get for several years. Have fun and good luck with your decision!

Welcome Allison, my Allie is a Mini Aussie and Ice is my big Aussie. I saw you had some questions in the Aussie thread, forgive me I have been quite busy with company and travel lately. I will be more than happy to assist you and answer any questions you might have. I will go that thread, feel free to ask away!

Names are always fun, take your time and see how he grows before you pick him up. I too have names chosen in advance its seems. I knew my next female would be Allie, however, Ice was not the name I had originally come up with. It fit into his registered name I chose for him. I had chosen Tucker and another name I can't remember now, Ice seemed to suit him with his blue Merle color. I will pop over to the Aussie thread in case there are more questions.

Thanks! Baby NoName is going to have his profile updated with every picture I get! I love naming animals. I even have a word document on my computer that I started years ago full of dog names. Every time I hear a good one, I add it to the list. THAT list is absurdly long. So I thought when I finally had the chance to name a new little goober, it would be super easy! Boy, was I wrong! But if anyone ever wants to name something, I forward my list. Ive had my hand in naming about 5 different animals with that list!

So if anyone ever has a new puppy, Id be glad to share my list!

And thanks again for the warm welcome!

Oh and Kian, thanks so much for your offer of advice. Most of my questions are speculative, since I am still about a month and a half from Aussie ownership. All I really want is the helpful hints and words of wisdom of seasoned Aussie parents. I want to make sure that this little man is the best that he can be!
