Ophan (Ophie for Short)

Hello Everyone!

This is my precious Ophie (short for Ophan, the singular form of Ophanim, a class of angels who reflect God's light). His daddy (my fiance) family has a tradition of having dachshunds and naming them after angels or classes of angels, and Ophie is a proud bearer of that family tradition.

We were told he was "about 7 weeks" when we adopted him, so I decided his birthday is Valentine's day since that's pretty easy to remember, and I'm in love with little Ophie. So now he's almost 11 weeks old (oh my goodness, my baby is growing too quickly!)

Right now we're working on potty training, housetraining, walking on a leash, experimenting with food (wanting to substitute eggs and soft veggies for wet food) and trying to find small-breed partners for Puppy Kindergarten here in New Orleans.

Ophie is so, so adorable! Those are amazing pictures. Good luck with finding your puppy kindergarten class. We've just started ours with Banjo and it will definitely be interesting seeing the mix of breeds there (ranging from a Great Dane to a Coton!).
