New Puppy Owner!

Hi everyone!

Just introducing myself and my lovely canine friend. Kaylee is a 10 week old White Shepherd. She is named after Kaywinnit Lee Frye from the tv series Firefly. Kaylee is my first puppy ever! All of my family's dogs have always been atleast a year old. Housetraining, crate training, and just general puppy duty is exhausting. I'm so glad I found this community. It seems like many of you have excellent experience and advice to a newcomer like me!

Hi RenegadeSongbird! I'm a new puppy owner too. My Lana is also 10 Weeks old. She's the first puppy I've had since I was 10 years old, so basically my first ever. I just wanted to welcome you and let you know that you aren't the only one learning and going through the puppy craziness!

Approximately, where are you located? Kaylee is just beautiful!

Nezza is one our newer members, and she is rather modest. While there is a great deal of help available on this site (see Behaviour Section as well as all the others), Nezza is well qualified herself to dispense advice.

Puppydom is difficult, rewarding, challenging, fun, tiring, frustrating, delightful, and before you know it, over. Enjoy every minute of it. Peruse some of the sections that may contain any questions you have, and if you find a thread that suits you, by all means jump in with questions. It's always a good idea to read each thread in its entirety.

However, if you have a specific issue that you do not find listed, by all means start a new thread. All of our members love dogs, and put their needs first, so you will receive "down to earth" responses.

Again, a huge welcome (and call me Deborah, or Deb as everyone else does).

Thanks! And yes, we definitely need to hang in there. One of the best things about reading through the threads is that you realize that you are totally not alone. There is so much great information, for things that you may not have even thought of. Good luck with everything! I can't wait to hear about how Kaylee is progressing.
