Julie, I thought you might be in the opposite direction of St. Sauveur. It's been 20+ years since I've been in that region. My oldest will be 20 in about a week. I also did not like living in Montreal. It is a nightmare to drive there. I know a few people from Sherbrooke, and have only heard lovely things about it.
I also like Quebec City, especially the old part. I actually like Old Montreal as well, just not the driving!

I didn't realize you were actually that far from St. Sauveur as I am about 8 hours from Montreal, living here in London, but Quebec is a huge province, and I know Sherbrooke is in the Eastern Townships. A friend of mine attended Bishop's University, way back in the late 60's, early 70's. Yes, I'm
that old!
Sumo is probably still trying to figure out paper, earth, snow, patio, concrete. It might be time to attempt to eliminate one of those choices, but that is up to you. Obviously you are no stranger to dogs, especially breeds that require a strong leader. I think a Chow was an excellent choice for you, and Sumo seems to be doing very well.
I am enjoying learning about you, and more about where you live. We have a Topic in the General Section called just that..."Where you Live" in which people can post pictures and give some history into their area, as well as sights to see and interesting facts about the area. I regret not having a chance to visit Sherbrooke way back in the day, as my work had a Branch Office there for years. I am now a stay at home Mum, and again, everything I did seems like it was 20+ years ago.

That's what happens when babies come along, or so it seems looking back.
I am sorry to hear about your Grandmother's passing, and having to sell the condo at Mont Ste-Anne. I had a fabulous dinner there one night but unfortunately have no idea of the name of the restaurant. There is no such thing as a bad meal in Quebec!

I'm sure you are a very accomplished at many different winter sports. I can barely work a tow rope, or a chair lift, gracefully. Your Mum and I, should the occasion ever arise, could hang out in the Chalet and watch. I'd give it a go on the "Bunny Hill", and then indoors for adult beverages and perhaps some Fondue or Raclette.
I do enjoy food.
You must live relatively close to Margie who is in the Burlington, Vermont area.

I need to do some "Google Map" looking this evening as I like to envision exactly where everything is and its relative distance from places I know.
Sorry, I digress terribly!
Keep that video camera handy with Sumo. He is such a delight, and I love how he resembles a teddy bear with those ears of his. I bet he would be able to pull Keyvan on a sled by next winter, if you wished. That could be fun for the whole family.
